I bought a used Walther 1250 .177 PCP (made by Umarex, but still in Germany!) I know it is just a sup'd up Hamerelli 850, which Le Baron liquidated at $175 last year and I missed it, but man can this thing shoot. I did not put it over the chrony just yet, but the 1250 means 1250 ft/s with a Diablo pellet. The tank was still in the green, but almost in the yellow which is between about 70-100 bar left. Well I shot it in my garage which gives me a range of about 19-20ft (26ft long but where the muzzle was it was close to 20ft), and shot at a 5/8" thick piece of plywood - bad idea! Went right through it and dented my garage door (.25"-.3" deep). I put a 2x6 block behind it and the pellet would go through the plywood and penetrate the block at least 1/4". My Weihrauch HW30 .22 would penetrate the plywood and just countersink a little, and it clocks at 490 ft/s on my chrony.
Can't wait to see how it does at 100 ft! Squirrels and groundhogs watch out!
