I am thinking of buying one of the new model scaled down .22 cal. copies of the Colt 1911. I like Colt revolvers so it would be a bonus for me if the Walther made, colt licensed, models had the quality that I would expect from something that said colt. However the new Browning 1911 copy looks very authentic as an alternative so I was wondering how they compare.
First question is basically how good is the Walther copy? I want to use the pistol for target shooting and wonder about the Walther accuracy. The Walther comes in 3 models and I wanted to know if the Cold Cup model had better stock sights than the stock sights on the Government model?
It appears that the Browning model 1911 .22 A1 is between $75 to $100 more than the Walther. Is the extra price justified?
I don’t see any local dealer that has either a Walther or a Browning in stock and before I road trip to see for myself I thought I would cruise the CGN site for some perspective on value for either of these pistols ….thanks
