Walther G22

Currently in limbo as far as I know. I wonder if they can't decide if it's worse letting more people own a prohibited firearm, if they already legally have one. Like someone I know.

... or letting people continue to legally buy them... which of course would cause the fabric of society to unravel as we know it. According to their logic at least.

I think this current situation is essentially their way of ignoring the issue, and "sweeping it under the rug" so to speak. Last I heard there was nothing wrong with someone who owns it to just go out and take it for a shoot. However as far as I know, you can't buy them anymore. So they have in essence, washed their hands of the problem indefinitely with this tactic.

It'd be really stupid if this rifle was made restricted in my opinion. Who would buy it to only to take it to a range? I've shot one at phoenix a few times, but... really. It's nothing compared to the enjoyment tromping out on crown land and blowing away some gophers... or soda bottles.

The G-22 is waiting for a court date, probably a year away yet. In the meantime, it is a non - restricted .22 rifle. The only thing you cannot do is sell it. If the court case is lost, you will have to surrender the stock. The rifle will not be made restricted or prohibited, the entire issue is whether you will be able to keep the stock.
