I was just wondering if it possible to find this beautiful rifle at a reasonable price ? Probably not of course.

There's 'reasonable' in the way of what you're paying for.

Then there's 'reasonable' as in cheap. Cheap and Walther never did go together in the same sentence.
 
I think the cheapest you are going to find one is going to be a Vopo rework (East German police rework). They might have the odd scrubbed and restamped serial. They are usually around 2K and up in great, working condition. Matching examples, as mentioned, probably start at 3K and up.

Depends on which manufacturer you get as well, then you might not think it is so beautiful, up close that is... ;)

The bcd rifles are worth more sometimes because of scarcity, but are also KZ produced and definitely are not the best lookers, or shooters... Anyways, plan on spending a bit 'o' cash after you get the gun, on new spring sets, new gas systems, and spare parts!

I love my duv44 G43, and I got all the gadgets in it to make it shoot as safe and as well as a G43 ever will, and still it is a gamble shooting it IMO...

Just remember to not turn that $2000-$4000 beauty into a $1000 parts gun...

Ok thanks for all this info, i think i will forget the project ! Too pricey, i was thinking that was approx the same price of the SVT40. I was wrong.
