I was fortunate enough this week to find this rifle blocks away from my house. The guy I bought it from, bought it new in 1969 and shot it for a year and then put it away. I think he was more interested in selling it to someone who was going to shoot it then to make a fist full of cash. It came with a bunch of Al Freeland shooting gear, gloves and a 10-X jacket. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bore that shines like this one. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.B129BCF0-D167-4268-81CF-B5A9949DC913.jpgF87638C6-9988-449F-BA39-748B61231187.jpg04023CB4-80BD-4793-A24B-7A000A4324E0.jpgD77F2888-83FF-4273-83A5-E38CB15F5361.jpgEBC000CF-0ED1-4DB5-A947-A69F999CE395.jpg

That is a VERY nice find sir !!
Those vintage Walthers are really quality rifles. I just happen to have one in my collection.
You are a lucky man. Congrats

Beautiful rifle and many extras including a fairly hard to find case.

If you bought it for under 900 you stole it... Congrats!!!

The only small issue with yours is the early style trigger. Walther replaced them to customers as prev maintenance as some would crack near the support trunnion.

That's a beautiful rifle, in excellent condition, with a great looking stock. As a 1968-69 made rifle, it appears that it's a late model KKM UIT model. It's notable that it has stippling, which didn't become common on UIT-style rifles for another year or two. I don't think there's anything wrong with, or to complain about, a trigger on a Walther of that vintage as the Walther triggers were already quite good on KKM's ten years older. That's a beautiful box, too.
