Walther P22 bites the dust! :(

It also ate a steady diet of CCI Mini-mag, Velocitor, Stinger, Yellowjacket and other high and hyper velocity ammo. I am recommending that people don't do this with their P22's if they want them to live. At the very least stay away from Stingers. I thought it was o.k., but it seems to have killed the gun off in less than 2 years. Use of the heavy duty ammo was mostly in the last year. The ammo we were using when the gun died was Remmington Cyclone.

And it is for this very reason that I do not feed any of my 22 auto pistols any of the higher velocity ammo.

I know I sound like a broken record, but keep the high velocity stuff for use in bolt rifles.

Use low velocity in the 22 pistols and revolvers too and they will last your lifetime and a couple more besides.

Or you can buy a good quality steel pistol to start with, sorry but crappy made gun is crappy made gun!

bobby jack. Walther P22 by no means is a crappy made gun. In fact I would take it ahead of any ruger Mk-whatever. There is nothing wrong with polymer frame either, it actually is one of the reasons why p22 is so good.

by what parameters do you claim they fall apart? What do you mean shoot like crap? I had one, sold it to friend after he saw me hitting still silhouettes from about 85 yards, shot after shot like its nobody's business. Then I bougth another one because them P22's are good things to have. Proof is in the pudding, have a look, all 20 holes are there from 20 yards, single handed, not really rapid but brisk

Rugers never shot that good in my hands. I think its because them rugers are so ugly I tend to close my eyes so they won't hurt.
