I thought I would come to the experts for this....... So I have the chance to by a Walther P22 off of a friend for $350, Havent been shot much at all and is in very good condition, its just to small for his hands and doesnt get much time to use it..... I've been looking for a .22 so im thinking about buying it from him, I keep getting mixed reviews on this pistol, but I noticed they go for $500-$600 new......

Is this a good deal?
Any input would be nice

$350 is not bad, Made sure you try it before buy it, if after several hundred rounds without failure or anything com loose, get it. But mind you P-22 has quite a larger number of lemon rate. Had one before, not a happy camper.

if it's 2007 or newer there should be less issues, apparently they fixed some of the common quirks. I've got an 2010 I bought mainly for introducing the wife to shooting and in the future the kids. I've shot 500-1000 rnds thru it, no problems, pretty good shooter although nowhere near the others mentioned. Main reason for getting it was it looks more like a "normal' semi vs. the Luger look of many other 22's and the small grip. I felt both combined will make it a good entry level pistol. To be honest it sits in the safe alot in the past few months since I've gotten into the 9/40/40's, but it's still fun to pull out every once in a while.

Love my P22 - fantastic little pistol. Have put 500 rds through it, not a single malfunction. I would recommend polishing the feed ramp - the only thing I have ever done to it. $350 is a good deal if it is as you describe.
