Walther P38 Value????

Have a chance to purchase a Walther matching P38. It a AC42 1st variation with the letter "c" following a 4 digit serial number. It comes with the proper wartime manufactured P38 stamped holster and 2 magazines. Mags are not numbers matching infact one of the mags lacks any serial number. The gun has the proper 359 proofs and is in excellent original condition with the exception of some typical bluing loss from sitting in the holster....I would say bluing is about 80 percent.

Sorry no pictures but based on this info I'm looking for a ballpark $$$$ figure so I can make a fair offer.

C block should have matching numbers on the mag. But it isn’t a huge deal. I’d want to see photos to really comment too much, but I would say $700-850 on the high end for just a pistol and two mags. Guys ask more but not sure they are getting it.

Roughly 850 for the pistol and mags. Around 350 for the holster if it's a hardshell.

Yes. They are quite scarce because they were competing with a new generation of pistols.
