Walther P99 Extension

I am interested in purchasing the Walther P99 from Wolverine Supplies, but I called them and they said that it is 106mm barrel. The one that has an extension. I was wondering if anyone else purchased this gun and if it is a good quality gun for the price. Also with the extended barrel, is it a really bulky extension that changes the entire look of the gun, and makes it look odd. I would appreciate someones help!

I'm sure those extra 4mm will make it so much safer in the hands of joe citizen. Nothing could go wrong with 4 extra milimeters, after all.
 
For what it's worth, the first weapon I ever bought was a P9 in 40 cal. with the titanium slide. The first time I went to the gun range I was approched by the range officer who told me I chose a cadilac among guns. Never had a problem with it, love the look and the feel. The only sidearm I use more is my Sig Saur 226 in 40 cal. Dude, if you get this, you will not be disapointed. Not a big difference in calibre, but I went .40 because it is bigger and may have a little more stopping power for a little more $. Depends on the target you have in mind; paper doesn't fight back, defense against a live target merits a different fighting style. In the end it is up to you and what you intend to do with it. Buy it and enjoy it, it's a friggin nice weapon.

guns arent weapons, they can be ,, but so can a fork,

be smart about this sport , its not like football, you do actually have to use your brains in this one .
 
Dude, buy a P99, and be one of the ones who chose to buy a Walther cadillac instead of a jeep Glock.
And you should also know what it is a little snappier than a Glock, because it's frame is lighter than a Glock, but the grip is SO friggin' better, and the accuracy is supposed to be awesome.
 
Artiz, you call Glocks cheap. If the Walther is so good why aren't 90% of law enforcement departments using them like they do with Glocks? As someone who carried firearms daily in law enforcement, I can tell you that Glocks are not cheap. Mine has never failed me with thousands of rounds fired from it. I would trust my life with one. Can't say the same about the Walther.

The Glock has been around longer than the Walther. They have very good pricing for both private leo and department purchase. When it comes to changing calibers or updating to a newer model it is cheaper to buy the same gun with some improvements from a training stand point than it is to purchase a different gun.

I don't want to get into the argument about witch one is better. That argument is circular and just goes round and round. Its safe to say there is nothing wrong with the Glock or it wouldn't be in such wide service. To believe that any government service gets any equipment with out price being a big deciding factor.

Just my opinion take it or leave it.

I said cheap? No.
I said Walther cadillac, and Glock Jeep.
You think I meant Jeep just for the price? I meant Jeep because Glocks are like a Jeep in the pistol market, they are cheap to buy yet they can go everywhere. On the Walther side, the P99 is a very fine pistol, it's quality, even if the Glock is high quality, is higher than the Glock, so I named it a Cadillac.
The P99's grip is also better designed than the Glocks.

It's Jamed Bond's gun for a reason, and it's the Quebec's and Montreal's police duty pistol for a reason too. ;)
