Walther P99 mags and PPQ... A bit confused...

Hi Folks;

Hoping one of you Walther experts can help me. I am getting a Gen 1 Walther P99 (has the paddle mag release). I am looking for extra mags, but all I see listed are P99/PPQ mags. Are they in fact the same and they are referring to the M1 PPQ, and the PPQ M2 mags are then listed specifically as M2 mags (as those are indeed different).

Thanks for any info... Also while I am at it, know anyone that has P99 mags?

Walther P99 magazines are interchangeable with the M1 PPQ only, the M2 PPQ with the button mag release uses different magazines on account of the button mag release design.
