Hi all,

Any idea why the walther p99 is so little talked about here? And why is it so hard to find to buy in Canada? Several site sponsors offer the PPQ, but the P99 seems to be rare.

Thanks for your answers.

No idea but I just bought one (p99)off the ee ill let you know when I get it,the ppq dose have one of the nicest triggers ive ever felt.

The p99 is definitely my favourite polymer frame gun. Nothing comes close to it in terms of ergonomics except maybe the PPQ. Lots say the PPQ is a better gun but that is subjective and depends on your intended use. Some (including me) prefer the features on the P99 (SA/DA, no protruding barrel, decocker etc.) compared to the PPQ. Also, after having shot both concurrently (well, same range outing anyway), I thought the SA P99 trigger pull was pretty much identical to the PPQ.

Anyway I don't think you can go wrong with either the P99 or PPQ.

btw, Epps has a few now.

P99 was my first pistol purchased in canada. Really sweet gun for the price and quality. I think the reason to make this gun not popular because lack of customizability and marketing promotion.
It is one of my favourite pistol and still shoot sweet after 25k through the pipe.

Walther failed in North America from bad marketing, I guess they though afew crappy bond films would sell the pistol. Its to bad as it is a very good gun and could have gone far.
