Hey guys anybody out have one and willing to shed some light on em? Im looking at adding another handgun since the beretta is lonely in the safe. How do they shoot?accurate?reliable?
I havnt got to hold one yet since nowhere local stocks them but im going to edmonton next weekend so im sure ill find one there to test fit.
Overall whats your opinion on em?

I'm a big fan and here's why... my opinions but based on my direct first-hand experience:
-exceptional quality as one should expect for ~$1200
-extreme reliability and durability
-excellent ergonomics... others are catching up now but Walther's been doing this for years
-I personally prefer the German style paddle mag release
-LOVE the AS trigger, in single action, one of (if not the) shortest reset I've ever felt; can decock into double action
-looks damn ###y to me :)

Generally speaking I feel this is a great gun which combines a terrific DA/SA trigger with a low bore axis (best of both worlds for me).

Criticisms are it's expensive (though worth it if you got the lettuce), in the rare case anything breaks, good luck getting parts, accessories are almost non-existent (holsters, extra mags, etc). Also our gun laws were created by writing illogical, arbitrary, and fear-based rules onto slips of paper then drawing out of a hat so if you go with 9mm, you're gonna get the barrel sticking out a little bit.

I really like mine, but if you have bigger hands like me you may find it a little small in the grip, even with the largest backstrap. Sometimes with a thumbs forward grip my thumb on my right hand can ride the slide stop, preventing it from locking back. Not a big deal, and when I find another slide stop, I am going to trim the extension off of it and it should be perfect.

some more things to add:

Positive:
-James Freaken Bond's gun

Negative:
- VERY light... follow up shots wont be easy
- VERY Fine finish... you may not want to holster it, but its nothing a bluing pen can't fix

I have smaller hands and I love the fit. It is probably one of the most natural feeling pistols for me to shoot. I have a 1911 and love it, but the P99 is very different feeling.

Thanks for the imput guys! I was allmost ready to pull the trigger on ordering one then the old lady told me she just passed her rpal and wants the walther p22 so no new toy for me but at least she will get her first handgun

Hey skoal,,my wife wanted a p22 and she did some research,,and found out that the p22 has a tendancy to crack the slide, and pieces come flying at ya.check for your self,,I liked the gun until she showed me what she had found out.

I agree ! I got to handle one today and the clip to hold the slide on is plastic and with just handling it fell off and the slide allmost came off! What a peice of crap
I think the sig mosquito is a better choice

Well turns out the pink mosquito is prohibited so i guess i have some duracoat coming as well,oh well
Happy wife = happy life
