The way I got my optics plate was I noticed that the Walter Website listed a different part number for my requested plate than what was on my back-order invoice from Gravel.
I asked Gravel, and it turns out they have the optics plates in 2 different product numbers, with the only difference between them being one product number is for the "free" plate, and the other product number was a "to be purchased" part.
For a Trijicon plate the part number for the "free plate" is 2867729, where as the part could be purchased separately under part # 5136196.
This might help people who dont mind spending 40$ to be able to mount their optic sooner. (Edit: It looks like now all inventory for trijicon plates are out of stock)
