Guys,

Wondering if any of you own PP/PPK's with restricted barrels and how they shoot. Also wondering if anyone knows a dealer that may have one in stock or who may be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks

:)

Yeah I wanna buy one too.

The Walther PP in .380 has always been one of my dream guns. I finally bought one on the forum last year in EXC condition with a 106mm barrel. The gun was a little gem. The design was a marvel, quality of construction was perfect, and the ergonomics were flawless. All was good until I took it to the range.

Accuracy was great, but the gun was NOT fun to shoot. Recoil was sharp, torquey and very unpleasant. I think the problem was the combination of a snappy round, straight blowback operation and thin grip.

I sold it right away. Recoil is generally not a problem for me, but that little gun scared me off. I can honestly say that I prefer shooting magnum revolvers to the Walther. Of course, this is all subjective and YMMV.

Notwithstanding, I still feel that the Walther PP/PPK is one of the greatest handguns of all time.

Sometimes the little guns hurt the most. The worst pistol for recoil I've every fired as a Sig Sauer 230 in .380ACP. Something about the grip design that made it very uncomfortable.

When I was a kid I had a PPK in .380. That little gun was a hoot. It jumped around alright, but the recoil was not disagreeable as I recall, and certainly not comparable to the sharp bite you get from a light weight .357, or even from a 9X19 pocket gun.

Opinions? Yes, everyone has one. Mine is the Walter PP/PPK/PPKs designs are beautifully made but dated pistols. With this said, I have never lost a dime on a Walther and that is a lot more than I can say about other handguns. Regards, Richard:)

I have one, it shoots very well @ 10 yds which is what it is designed for.
I replaced the plastic grips with Hogue cocobolo grips, makes a BIG difference and looks great too. I shoot Federal Hydra-Shoks 95gr. They will stop a bad guy.

It is the perfect self defence pistol; small, lightweight and packs a good punch. I am looking for a PP now, maybe another PPK as well.

i have a minty ppk/s blued with pachmayer grips in 9mm Kurtz(.380), its a touch snappy, with "ranger" style ammo but shoots nice with win clean or similar.

PICS!

shooterschoice.com has a PP in .380 but they won't send a pic to me so screw them!

A restricted PPK is like Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, it just ain't right.

LOL ,,, so true. do what i did and get the umarex bb gun.

though i would have 20 or so ppk,pp,ppks ,etc if they were restricted. this is my all time favorite gun.

but with the extended barrel it looks really really bad.

and yes pierce brosnan sucked.. goldeneye was .... ok . but the others were horrible.

I'll take "Pierce" over Rodger Moore anyday!:p Still Sean is the ONLY real Bond.

no way roger moore was great. sean i agree is the best 2nd is moore. 3rd is george lazaby or whatever. 4th is daniel craig, 5th is tim dalton, 6th is pierce,

sorry thats how i roll.
