walther ppk restricted

A PPK will be prohibited, not restricted, as an evil .25 or .32 calibre or under 4" barrel. Sometimes a new longer barrel is fitted, but not really often. Not a lot of demand for 'em as a result of their evilness.

you might see something in the restricted area next year when Walther launches their stuff in the states, they are going through a divorce with SW so we will have to wait a little to see some prohibited models in Canada, but I am sure we will see something. I am waiting for the ppq m2

To make a PP/PPK non-prohib, you would have to chamber it in 380 or another calibre that is not 25acp or any 32 (I have seen a hybrid 30 cal) with a new longer barrel (4.2 inch) - it has been done, but the conversions are few and far between. The gun's value is hard to determine since the cost of conversion is pretty high, and the value of the gun before the conversion is pretty low.

They show up on the EE every now and then.
Generally around a grand but they sell unbelievably fast so basically what ever the seller wants- they get.
Good luck, I wouldn't mind one myself- I've always been a minute late...

Don't forget PP/PPK in .22 ... My last restricted PP in .22, decent shape, sold for $800 in about 5 minutes. A PP in .380 didn't last quite that long at $850. They might have been a bit low.

In good condition, a prohibited .380 is $500+ and a prohibited .22 ... lucky to get it for $600. If they're minty in boxes etc., more. So add the cost of replacing the barrel, the months of delay and paperwork BS, and you have $800 as a starting point for the .380 and, since the .22 barrel is harder to make and nearly impossible to find, good luck finding a restricted .22 PP/PPK.

If it's made by Interarms, it is worth less to all the collectors. A German Walther PP or PPK or PPK/S in .380 commands a premium, prohibited or not, since there are a boatload of guys who still want one. The US made Interarms copies are not as durable, and there are better and worse ones due to fluctuating "QC". The Interarms MARKED but made in Germany pistols are still less desired by collectors, but I'll happily take all of them. Still high quality manufacture with better materials.

I have a (German) restricted PP in .22 to test next week, and then we'll see you on the EE.

note, the PP looks much better than the PPK with the longer barrel. especially if its done properly and is a full size barrel all the way out and not just sleeved

May have to take one of mine to the range tomorrow now
