Been lurking for a little while, finally registered and now finally posting on something I thought was relevant.

Emailed Walther Germany earlier this week.

Reponse was;

"We assume that the first pistols will reach Canada beginning of June. Hope this will work with your licence.

PPQ is a beauty, specially the one with paddles.

Yeah, I've been holding out for the long slide. The navy is cool as well but I have no need for a threaded barrel version.
I hope the ones coming to Canada are paddle release M1 style.
Gonna start socking the cash away now.

All the reviews I have seen so far show the M2 version not the M1. I prefer the M2 style, just because it is what I am used to. Looking forward to seeing one of these in person. My PPX needs some company ...

The M2 was made for the US market, where they apparently prefer the button release. They still make the M1 lower, and offer that model in the US well. We have only ever had the M1 here, so I am curious to see if we get the long slide in M1...much to the chagrin of many of our southern neighbors.
