Walther PPQ M2 Navy Single Action Semi-Auto Pistol - 9mm, 118mm,
Threaded, Tenifer Black, Steel Slide & Polymer Frame, 2x10rds,
3-Dots Green Sights, Rail

A very Slick Gun,
The PPQ M2 is a true breakthrough in ergonomics for self-defense handguns. The sculpted grip meshes smoothly into the hand. The trigger is the finest ever on a polymer, striker-fired handgun. The styling is elegant and trim. What’s more, PPQ M2 has been updated for 2013 with a new traditional reversible mag release button. The leading edge just took another step forward.

I fully expected to find a blue gun.

Navy because it's corrosion resistant, and collars were designed to drain water after being submerged so it's reliable in that setting.

I know, very practical! That said, it has a great trigger and supplanted my Glock as my go to!

People should want the M2 button mag release so this doesn't happen to them: (see pics below)

This was my own fault but still, go ahead and try to get replacement parts. I contacted the gunsmith from where I bought it from here in Alberta. He said that he would order it from North Sylva. 8 months later he still didn't have the parts and told me North Sylva doesn't care to deal with small problems like this and that I would have to find the parts myself somehow on the internet. I contacted the Walther repair guy in the US, it's a $12 part for them. He won't ship it to me. I was able to find an airsoft company in Saskatoon that deals with Walther and is bringing in the part for me. I'll have to pay for the import. so this part is going to cost me well over $100. My gun has been broken for over 10 months now.

I absolutely do love the European mag release more than the push button, but I'll never buy another gun with the paddle mag release. I compete in pistol matches, 3 gun, and CQB. My guns do get used fairly hard.

(side note: Tim, from Military Arms Channel, also broke his paddle mag release on his HK VP9 in his torture test video)

Buy the M2 from Reliable Gun Vancouver. It's an amazing gun and these guys are awesome to deal with.

There is a 5 inch version you may want to look into.

I find it kills the look. I really wish they didn't discontinue the p99 and an aluminum paddle mag release was available. Sometimes i look at the ppq and enjoy the look , other times i don't. Maybe I'm just too old school and not ready to jump into the polymer world just yet. Unless we're talking tikka :).

Love my PPQ, nice night sights and the trigger is awesome.
BTW, I don't know if you can be too old school for Polymers nowadays, I mean Glock alone has been around since the early 80s.
