Does anyone know if their is a difference between the Walther PPQ's sold in the U.S. via S&W and the German models. The reason i ask is because i herd someone say the Canadians are getting Walther PPQ's directly from Walther in Germany and not from S&W in the U.S. Thanks.

I had my local store check on the availability of the PPQ in .40. The are on back order but it is possible to get them.

I thought the 9mm PPQ was manufactured with a threaded barrel that met Canadian rules.

The 40 S&W barrel is 106mm long and the 9mm is under 105mm so the only legal 9mm version right now is the "Navy ver. threaded barrel"

On another note, the Walther P99 will fit a PPQ ;)

Getting back to my original question, The PPQ's sold under Smith and Wesson in the down south are they different from the ones being sold directly by Walther in Germany? Any one know when they are expected to arrive?

they are the same gun, S&W is just the US importer "I think S&W is worried the PPQ might over shadow there M&P line ;) "
