Walther PPX - Anyone have anything to say about them?

Looking for my first handgun. Wanted a polymer, 9mm and around $700 or less.

Had a look at a few on the weekend. I'm leaning towards the Walther PPX range kit but I'd like to see if anyone has anything good or bad to say about them.

With the same budget I was looking at CZ 75 P-07 duty, Walther PPX, and the Beretta Px4 Storm on sale for $650.

What I learned is a lot of guys love their CZ duties (lol...duties), You get a lot for your money with the range kit from Walther and $650 is a great deal for the storm as some stores are selling them for $869. I chose the Beretta but I don't think you could go wrong with any of the above.

Don't forget to update us when you take it home, and give us your opinion.

Yea the CZ 75 P-07 and the IWI Jerico where recommended to me many times buy several different people. I did really like like the feel of the Jerico. I got a chance to handle the full metal framed and polymer. I did find the full metal frame to be a tad heavy but still felt great in my hand.

While I appreciate everyone's feed back and I have yet to hear anything negative about the PPX (other than hard time finding mags) I did not end up getting the PPX. I ended up getting a Sig Sauer P226R. I'm still dealing with the guilt of blowing my budget by $250 ugh.. I've always loved the way the sig looks and it preyed on me from beneath the glass while I was looking at the Walther. I can def let you know how the Sig feels once I get it to the range. :)

Haha that's a nice piece of machine you got. Blowing your budget....get used to it.

Just went to the range and put a 150 rounds down. Overall impression is good.

The trigger is light as a feather. Very nice trigger. The frame is very comfortable. Just like the ppq. It's a little snappy at first but once you get comfortable that wears off... I just don't like how it has such a high bore axis... makes for a bit more felt recoil. Overall I do like it and I plan in keeping it. The TSE Calgary has the kits for $579 as an easter special so there is no better time to buy then now for anyone interested.
