Has anyone ever needed replacement parts from Walther? If so, where did you the parts from?

I am looking for a replacement barrel for a P22.

Thanks!

being in Canada, i doubt Earls is an option unfortunately, your best bet is to go back to your dealer, and get them to order parts from European Arns (BC) or London Arms (back east somewhere), i think those two are the distributers of Walther in Canada....

P22 Barrel

What happened to the barrel?

I'm not too sure, i checked the barrel quickly when I purchased the gun (not too carefully) and didn't see any obvious problems.

After I went through about 100rds of .22 and went home to clean it, the brass brush ran into some "imperfection" in the barrel. After I got the brush out, I saw some metal fuzz halfway down the barrel, it looked like the lining sorta lifted off a bit.

I should check out the barrel more closely after I got the gun :( , I just need to find a replacement and hopefully won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Thanks for the replies guys!

i don't think the P22 barrel is chromed... the 'fuzz' you see might be just crap or machine marks from rifling... and will probably wear out over time???

barrel

Hmm, the gun is well used though. It has seen several thousand rounds (i think, I don't remeber the round count anymore)

I had to use quite a bit of force to get the barrel brush out of there, and I am sure it is a .22 brush (it went in half way with light resistance until it got to the imperfection)

Watch out with Walther warranty.... I gave them my flawed P22 to fix and they gave me over a year to think about that mistake while they fixed my gun in Germany....
