I'm in the market for my next pistol and am considering two makes.

Walter (P99/PPX) or SIG P320.

I was curious what sort of feedback everyone has on these.

Things that drew me to the Walther.
Quality.
Ergonomics
Availability of a Range Kit (PPX)

Things that drew me to SIG
It's a SIG
Customization.

Does anyone have good/bad stories of either? Is the SIG available in a range kit? I'm looking to use this as my primary pistol for range work. Would need holster, mags, Mag pouch.

Must be 9mm

Let me know what everyone thinks.

I haven't tried the P320, but have had two PPQs and several P226/P229/P220s.

Parts availability is generally better with SIG, especially magazines. The option of conversion kits is always nice too.

I'd recommend the PPQ over the P99/PPX for the trigger alone. It also helps that they sell for about the same price on the EE.

If the P320 has similar ergos and trigger pull to the classic SIG pistols, I'd recommend the PPQ over the P320 as well.

You've got two answers above that sum it up perfectly. Get one of each (one now, one later as funds permit). The PPQ and P226 with SRT kit are the only ones to get.

there is no V.S, I have made this mistake when starting out as well,
I had many CZ vs SIG VS (insert brand here)debates, now I realize only I know what works for me,
I tried and sold CZ, walther, H&K, Glock, S&W, kimber, colt....you name it.
try both, and you might not like either, or love them both.

The PPQ and p99as are fantastic pistols and you can't go wrong with them. The p320 is good but never really jumped out at me but that's just my opinion

I've been really happy with the sig sauer P320 and would recommend it… I shoot a moderate amount and have had no issues. Came with 2 mags and paddle holster in a case.

Walther makes outstanding pistols too.

Sorry, I guess I'm not much help.

There is no Walther vs SIG. Only Walther AND SIG!

good advice right there

Yes of course you're all right. Try them out. Experiment. I've been buying and trying 9's all year and so far have actually liked a Norinco NP-22 the best out of all of them.

But every one of my guns have been $450 and under. So now I'm going to foray into the next price bracket.

The only downside is my LGS doesn't have a PPQ or a P320 for me to fondle.
