Walthers PPX range kit versus S&W M&P 9 range kit

I have 200 rounds through my PPX and it stopped functioning over the weekend. Same issue as this. http://www.waltherforums.com/forum/ppx/37325-walther-ppx-fails-fire-firing-pin-issue.html
Firing pin doesn't touch the primer. Total failure at the range. Stripped it cleaned it, put it back together. Still nothing. Lifetime warranty so I am not super worried about it, I just hate the idea of having a firearm that might fail again one day. The trigger is soooooo amazing though. Love it. If it all gets sorted out with the repair, it is an amazing pistol.

Let us know the warranty experience because last time I heard it was ####.

So far it's a North Sylva as of today for the repairs, they told me they have an 8 week backlog which isn't great, especially since I have my black badge course booked for Oct 23. Looks like I will be taking my Norinco NP22 to my BB instead which has never failed ever with more than 2000 rounds through it. I will keep you posted on the progress.

M&P all the way for two reasons, mags and parts. I have 3 including a CORE and have done the home grown trigger job on all three with great results. Had a PPX before and it was a great gun but couldn't even find a mag for it.

It's much easier finding mags now. Not sure on other parts though, I would agree with you there.

I received notification that the firearm is repaired and ready for pickup. It's been 8 days since I dropped it off. Doesn't get much better than that. I will let this group know if the gun goes down again. Kuddos to North Sylva.
