This is the product of a nice slow winter Sunday afternoon. It is to be a present for a gun buddy. I thought I'd make him a hammer and some drifts. The handle is steel, the heads and drifts aluminum and brass. If I had bronze, I think that would have been even better. I made a steel head also, then wondered why the hell do that when he can use any old hammer if he needs steel. I am no pro machinist or gunsmith, so I know they are not perfect. But I think it was an afternoon well spent and I think my shooting buddy will enjoy his new set too. I might make another for myself over the holidays. Anyone know where I'd get a good hard piece of nylon to make a soft head and drift with? Anyone else making anything like this?

Made these while taking a night class in machining at SAIT a couple of years ago. Wish I had a lathe and mill or there space to put them.
