I got a 6 month old PARA 1911 GI EXPERT 645 rounds thru it, what should i be asking for, im not like most EE sellers that want $50 less than new i wanna make sure im asking a real price and i ALSO POSTED PICS LOL

See what they are going for new... ask a little less and put OBO and see what you get. You usually don't lose too much on guns. Good luck.

Sellers can ask whatever they want, in the end it's the market that sets the prices.

A fair price is generally considered to be 20% of retail. So if the gun costs $1000.00 before taxes then if it is in good shape it should sell for $800.00. The taxes are not considered part of the deal. This is a rule of thumb but there are a lot of other factors that go into it.

If you price it to high it won't sell and if you price it right it will. Just that simple.

Why would an idiot scratch on a gun like this have some large effect on the value? I get that marks and such lower value but on an entry level gun is it worth pointing out the scratch and suggesting its going to effect the value. If it was a $2000 model sure, I wouldnt buy one with ANY scratches, but on a $500 gun a scratch or two has to be allowed. The guy buying it is probably going to learn some lessons too.

No one thing makes the gun worthless

Each little thing makes the gun worth less

550 shipped is pretty reasonable.
