No harm done!
To tell the truth, we were confused here at the office when this thread popped up, until we dug up that post to see what was referenced. Chiappa takedowns are, in our experience, extremely tight. There's never been one on the books for warranty at all, let alone for the takedown mechanism. To my knowledge, I don't think we've ever sold a Chiappa 1892 rifle to an unhappy customer.
Chiappa have a fantastic rifle design and great attention to detail. I think we all feel extremely confident in them and we'd always be happy to stand behind them. With dozens and dozens going through our shop across several calibers (and now, several styles!) we have yet to see an issue.
Enjoy your takedown Chiappas and don't worry about what you feed them. With care towards maintenance and handling they'll never let you down and they print nice groups downrange as well.
Cheers,
Daniel
