Wanstalls big sale

If there is only one for sale it only takes one buyer. Market value is whatever a willing buyer is prepared to pay at that particular point in time.

But there isn’t only one gun, nor buyer. If that were the case there would no longer be a market and your gun would be without fiscal value.

Not sure if you track or remember S&W 952 pricing, but one sold for over $5500 USD, well above the market value. Next thing you see are tons of 952’s listed at $5k+ with no sales. Current prices are around $3k, right where they were before the one sale that was anomalous. Compare that to Pythons or HK P7’s that are selling by the hundreds at ever increasing prices and have been for years.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the 210’s time is coming given the increasing number of RPAL holders, the reputation of the gun (well earned in my mind), and an ever shrinking supply. I just don’t think we’re quite there. That said, I’ve been very wrong about this before.........damn P7’s......

No doubt. Last -5 LS I saw was listed for $25k USD; I’d rather have a plane.

Yes saw that. Correction, thought it was still M. Zeleny's as his was listed there for a long time last year but looks like his sold or was taken down.

Rear seats in the 911s are perfect for kids. Which one would you go for TC? A buddy of mine just picked up a 1989 Turbo - one of the widow makers.

I like the newer 911s with the onboard nanny to protect me from myself! The widow makers were for the talented and brave only. I still am in love with the Cayman though for now, and in my mind is a better driver's car than the 911s I have driven. Mid engine vs rear engine, it's like a go cart on steroids.

I've heard similar views about the Cayman from several friends who are into cars.

If I'm going to have a toy car for the summer the top has to go down. Hence my interest in Boxsters.....along with BMW Z3/4's or maybe a 135i Cabrio

I see there is a P210-5LS on Gun broker with an opening bid of 16,995 right now.....no bids yet. I also see one sold on there in Dec for $9499.

Well Sailor, whatever you get you live in a great area for it. I lived near Fredericton from 2009-2012 and miss the roads out there. Moved to the prairies and between endless miles without curves, six month winters, and monster potholes there wasn’t much joy left in roadgoing vehicles. I’ll make it back to a coast one day.....
