That is beautiful and if I am not mistaken, lefty friendly.

Note: I am not a left-handed freak, but I appreciate that there are some firearms that cater to their affliction.

It's pretty, and the reversed controls are interesting.

Though a gun labeled "Bullseye" should have sights befitting the name.

I have been addicted to the Forged in Fire series and the process of making Damascus steel. I just love it. But this gun looks like the pattern is printed on since the pattern seems so repeatable instead of more random like most forged Damascus. I'm sure I am totally wrong but its not a pattern I have seen often in Damascus steel from many knife builders, or on a famous gun/bike builder in Texas's guns who makes his own Damascus blanks. Still, I dream of one day owning a Damascus 1911 slide.

Yes, I realize according to the manufacturer it truly is real forged Damascus.

Aeroknox out of the US still makes wedding rings and mens rings made from the meteorite as well. Cabot makes really nice firearms

You can make Damascus is very predictable/repeatable patterns

I believe it's called Teardrop Damascus

Do you know if this is true damascus/folded steel or if it's done with acid treatment like some of the other types of 'damascus' style metal (e.g. knives a lot)?

I'm also curious why they didn't do the frame? I've heard true damascus can be a bit more brittle than 'normal' steel. Anyone have any thoughts?

EDIT: This was mostly hit already by MustangFrank. Thanks MustangFrank.

The one off Cabot OAK Custom Damascus was $50k USD.

This is not that pistol.....

This is is more of a canister Damascus. It does use powdered metal in the process, but it is still Damascus steel. I say that because some people associate powdered metal with MIM….this is not the same. Powdered metals are commonly used by artisans too, and it is still heated and forged. The Oak series Damascus guns are over 50K..... these (depending) on the USD conversion will be under 10k. Call or email for current quote!

Cheers,

Gary
