"Hello ,

Unfortunately M+M Industries has opted to not honor their commitment to send Wanstalls the rifles to cover the pre-sale. In light of these developments Wanstalls will no longer be able to bring the M10X Rifles into Canada at our originally agreed upon rates. We understand that this will be disappointing to everyone on the order, and are offering the following options for your deposits:

1) You can transfer your existing pre-order towards an incoming NEA BCL 102 .308 Win. (Black, FDE, or Green available) - expected to be landing in January 2018 at a rate of $1749.99.

2) You can transfer your deposit to store credit – with an additional 10% discounted rate towards your next purchase of any in store products.

3) We can refund your original deposit in full.

We’ll be reviewing all of the responses first thing next week when we’re back in the shop and working towards enacting everyone’s choices shortly thereafter, your continued patience and understanding is appreciated,

Wanstalls Sales Team "

There you have it.

Pre-sale is void. Orders cancelled.
I'm not pointing fingers. I'm just tired. What an emotional roller coaster. Guess I'm going to use the money to buy a pistol instead.

I now realize this forum is for 5.56 rifles, and should have been posted in the Red Rifles forum. My appologies, Mods.

You are choosing to blame Wanstalls..?

I can see why people would be upset with them. They acted without proper info in the beginning, got a bunch of people's hopes up, took what is probably a few tens of thousands of dollars, and now everyone is being let down -- its out of their control, but they share some blame in the disappointment by starting this fiasco, and accepting pre-orders.

I know they wont, but I'm sure Canada Ammo has some select words for them as well, as Canada Ammo claims they did all the leg work.

I don't think we'll ever know the full story though.

I just want my money back - and it looks like we need to wait til next week to get it. They should be processing refunds through the weekend for Christ's sake.

I bought from wanstalls, If they sold rifles before secured a lot, what a stupid kind business, I don' t pay for a dream. Now , they prefer to lose customer than honor their sales, you will see wanstalls will sell this rifle in the future , like all others they already sell for North sylva.

They ####ed up and now they are putting all the blame solely on Mickey Mouse ;). Nothing about sorry we ####ed up. Well sell you the rifle at 1600$ and we'll take a loss. So yeah they should bare some of the blame. Interesting the refund option is last ;)

This entire fiasco is starting to appear like a couple of possible distributors in the mix jumped the gun a little. No contracts were signed and therefore, obviously, this entire process was still in the negotiating stage. If you follow the money it's a standoff.

dude i was thinking about that. The reason most companies, even small ones now offer gift cards, is because they now have an account with those funds giving them the interest and with gift cards its worse because a lot of people don't use them and some expire.

Recently a different unnamed retailer recently did a pre-sale and promised 1-2 week delivery and it arrived over 2 months after taking full payment. the whole time they were doing tons of pre-sales, it made me wonder about there finances..

Coming from someone who never dealt with Gift cards before.

-they don't expire and can no longer
-cost per card is almost 1$ per card
-most come with a large setup and usage fee
-cash must be held as cash until cashed (so your not gaining anymore than about 1% interest)

Gift cards are 100% for customer connivence and to tap into the gift giving market nothing else.

Deposits on items is another story and a more grey area. The reason deposits are normally taken and non refundable is the funds are needed for either R&D, import fees or deposits with the mfg.
