Getting my deposit back as well. After Mickey Mouse promised us to honor our preorder they decided to turn around and pair up with NS. Well, karma is a ##### for both, new distributor and loser mm. Bunch of idiots.

Looking at the slew of NR black"ish" rifle offerings presently available in Canada and their associated prices, I don't agree. Take into account cost of ammo for similar offerings, I agree even less. $1450 seems a very attractive price point. $2000 less so but still seemingly attractive assuming the platform is robust.
Well never know the truth, Wanstall ####ed up by rushing with the pre order. I believe now M+M probably told them to take a loss and honour the pre order they rushed to put out, and they Wanstall refused to take any kind of a loss. The put all the blame solely on M+M.
It seemes everyone is getting the same email, i just received mine same bull crap. As if id be interested in giving them any money with them not even be able to offer a apology, not to speak of a discount on something. They'll turn in 6 month time and sell the rifles, as they do buy #### from North Sylva, and will not risk anything out of principle. Were they hopping M+M gives them a discount so they can honor the presale and make both the dealer and the manufacturer look good, i guess they were wrong, Mikey Mouse is more greedy than they thought

Fairly dissapointed. I’ve bought a few guns from wanstals. The only sensible thing to do as a consumer is take your money and walk. I don’t know if it’s pride, spite or morals.

You do realize that m+m said in their Facebook page they'd honor the wanstalls preorder, right? In light of that, I absolve wanstalls of any fault. They were lied to. We were lied to. M+M deserves all the hate they're getting at this point (especially considering they also screwed over the company who submitted their gun to the rcmp lab, which is the only reason this product can even be sold in Canada)
Not sure if I should put the deposit towards a bcl 102 or just take the refund. I don't blame Wanstalls for doing this I wouldn't want to lose a bunch of money either.

Not sure why everyone is so freaked out and disappointed. Regardless of how well intentioned sometimes shyte happens and you clean up and move on. Nothing personal, just a little naivety coupled with a little arrogance but no intent to screw anyone, just clean it up asap and move forward.
You do realize that Wanstalls also said on their facebook page that "rest assure" they will honor the pre sale. This probably till they saw what kind of a hit they are taking and decided to just give people the option of purchasing something else from them, the refund option was last on their list. So they both at fault, the only positive thing out of this is that we realize how much we are being gouged on everything up here.

The BCL 102 is a much superior rifle. I'd go that route.
I was still LMAO over one of the biggest whiners on CGN calling the kettle black (yes, you Ditzy), when Wanstalls dropped their joke of an e-mail into my in-box. Now here I go gasping for air again! You guys need to take your comedy on the road. It's Gold, pure Gold I tells ya!
Of course Wanstalls put the refund last on their list of "options". Now that they have the pre-order money they want to keep it. No problem, I fully understand their desire. It is simply too bad that Wanstalls doesn't value that money a bit more than their first 2 options would suggest. Otherwise I might be inclined to let them keep mine. But given the option of paying-down the pre-order on a rifle with significant, known QC issues, or accepting a meagre 10% savings on my next purchase with Wanstalls, I will take Door #3.
Do I think that Wanstalls could and should have been more generous with the options given their admitted role in pre-selling vapour? Absolutely. But that's where it ends. My disappointment with Wanstalls won't prevent me from shopping there in the future if they have something that I want, as I don't make a habit of cutting off my nose to spite my face. YMMV, and I wouldn't begrudge anyone who is more annoyed at Wanstalls than I am. They are far from guilt-free in this entire mess.
As for Canada Ammo, let's not forget that they were planning on stiffing us for $2,000 to $2,400 per M10X long before they too, were cut-out and became annoyed with M+M for "shopping around" the rifle. There are no winners in this mess, other than those who take great delight in the misery of others. For anyone in doubt that such CGNers exist, just take a look at those who can barely contain their glee now that the pre-order is done. Not surprising that by and large, they were the earlier whiners....
