Want a new varmint rifle!

You need a fairly heavy rifle.Even my light Ruger hornet will jump you off the sight picture.
You would need a really heavy 22/250.Nine pound 204 should do the trick.

consider the 17 hornet, I just picked up a savage m25 heavy barrel and there is very little recoil and basically no shift off target
 
I have a A-bolt .204 it weighs 6ish pounds scoped (it is a shot-show special from 2008 and essentially a micro-hunter model). It does not loose site picture whatsoever from recoil. plus 32 grain bullets over 4000fps vapourize things.
