Hey all,

After a lenghty email to joel at Davessports.com , he now realizes that there is a great need for these to be imported to canada with the pinned 10rd mags and might be able to make it happen.

Chime in and let him know what you want and how many mags you need.

If these things were more reasonable on the money side of things I would pick one up for sure.
It would depend on the price. It we can get them in here for a reasonable amount I would take one in 9 and one in 40.

Yes very true, $800-$850 are more attactive and affordable. Can't wait to see what will be offered.

:cool:Where did I say it was hard work????:sniper: :rolleyes: , But i did talk with him about personally importing for myself 6 or 8 XDM's and about 30 mags as i would have no trouble moving them and keep a couple for myself. The only thing holding things up , is that he had nobody on his end that could pin the mags. He now sees a large need and might be willing to help us out and just wants everone to chime in their willingness to take one so he can maybe find a way to make it work for both parties.

Thank you for your email! We are working on the 10 round mags for the XDM. We are trying to get them developed, however our vendor has informed us that the release date has been delayed indefinitely.
Please check back periodically on availability of those and check our website as well.

Well at least they said that they were working on ten round mags instead of the company line there are no plans to produce a ten round mag at this time...

For all of those who have been following this thread and emailing us as we've worked to arrange to get our first shipment of XDMs up to Canada, Good News!

To initiate your pre-order, email export@davessports.com with the model you want and "XDM" as the subject line. We'll then give you more information about payment, etc.

Expected delivery timeframe: it's hard to say because of all of the logisitics between here and there. For now I'm going to say early March, but please understand that this may be sooner or later depending on a number of things. We really want to get this shipment up to you all, so trust that we'll be doing our part to make that happen.

$500 USD to pre-order, remainder due prior to shipping. At this point, it looks like we'll be working on this with the guys at CanadaAmmo.com, so they'll likely be the ones shipping via Canada Post to your home. If for some reason everything falls through, your full $500 will be refunded. If you change your mind and want to pull out, we can refund everything but $100 USD, prior to export. I'm currently visiting family in Phoenix, AZ, but will try to be as responsive to emails as I can over the next few days. I'm back Jan. 4th and then will be full-time on this. Thanks again to everyone, and we look forward to working with you.

Remember: each XDM comes with the full XDM system kit, pictured below:

  • Factory hard case
  • lock
  • cleaning brush
  • double mag pouch
  • Mag Loader
  • Paddle holster
  • Two 19rd magazines
  • manual

The magazines will be modified to the satisfaction of Canada Border Services Agency to meet maximum capacity restrictions at 10 rounds, prior to import into Canada.

Sorry about that, thanks for catching the error - it was a transcription error and should say 4.5". All of those model numbers should correspond with 4.5" models. I'll try to get the original post and source files fixed to reflect this later today.

In the future it's possible that we could work on modifying the new 3.8" XDM with a Canadian-legal barrel for a shipment up there. For now I'm going to focus on this first shipment, but will certainly stay open to that down the road.
