My friend John Emmett is selling a number of ATK Aliant powders for a song! I picked up 8 pounds of PROMO, my favourite powder, for C$90.00 for 8 pounds. PROMO is like RedDot. PROMO is a very versatile pistol powder.
He also has Bullseye, RedDot, and GreenDot for C$108.00 for an 8 pound keg. Tell me that is not a great price. John doesn't handle ANY Winchester powders.
Buying in quantity is a great way to save $$. John Emmett is in St. Catharines, Ontario near the Welland canal.

It would take me 6 months to use that much powder!:)

Last year i did pick up 10 one pounds canisters of Varget for 140.00 all included, a little dealer in my area was closing down and i got the deal... JP.

Does he have a store or work out of the house? Does he have a website? ???
How can I contact him to see what's available?
 
I don't know why u would post this.

The guy has no store. Probably will not ship. And is not always around or easy to get ahold of.

He is a great source locally, but I don't think he's interested in much else. I could be wrong though.

Well if that's true, it sucks.:( If he's not in the business how does he get it so cheap? There's got to be a story here! How can you sell those quantities of powder regularly enough to be known locally and NOT be in the business? :confused:Here I was getting all excited thinking I could kill two birds with one stone and bundle it into a trip to Silverdale. :bangHead::bangHead:

He is an importer and distributor as far as I know.

I have bought stuff off of him several times, and he is a good guy, but doesn't seem like he is interested in taking calls all day if you know what I mean.

I could be wrong though. I have only bought stuff from him countless times, but the OP claims to be a friend so he might know better.

Like I said though, he has no website, no store, and I can almost guarantee he will not ship. He needs to see PAL, and records info, as per ON CFO. Cash only business from what I have seen as well.

NO, Store front operation
NO, he will not ship
YES, you have to be in person and invited and show your PAL
YES, he keeps proper records as per CFO
Does not run a 9-5 business, when he is home, he's home.
No Sunday calls and God Help yah if there is a NFL or NHL game on.
Last but not least, CASH ONLY, in person.

I have been dealing with John and his (Father, passed away) for last 37 years or so.

I'll remember to drop by John's to pick up a half dozen kegs if ever my dream of driving cross country materializes.

I'll do anything to save money.

A CGNner offered two buckets of free Wheel weights few months ago, but he was in Calgary.

I text my bud in Calgary, so happened he worked 15 minutes from the CGNner. He drove over to pick up after work. Next week, this buddy is driving over (Calgary-Vancouver) for Thanksgiving with my wheel weights.:D

I am just trying to let anyone know (exactly) what you need to buy from Emmett’s.

Since he is not a storefront, he can become very temperamental, lets just say very temperamental at best.

Ummmm. Let's not candy coat it, and throw it out there. The guy is a borderline nutjob. He decided to have a long conversation with me when I was there. I wasn't sure if I should humor him, or run for my life. Seriously...we're going to read about him in the papers one day, and it ain't going to be good. I've bought lots of powder since then, but not from him. Sorry...the guy creeps the living hell out of me.

I've known John for a number of years... He is unique.

It's funny nobody used to believe me when I quoted prices I would pay from him on here. Now people are spoiling the fun.

FWIW he used to have a gun club out behind his house that got shut down by the city who wants to build houses there now.
