Goodday gents,

I'm looking for someone I can borrow a 1919 bolt and extractor from for a couple of weeks.

In an ideal world, there'd be someone in the Halifax area that had a 1919 who I could come to visit and play and measure and poke and prod and watch and examine their gun, but I don't know of any 1919 owners in the area.

No.

I am not building a 1919.

No.

I will not tell you what I'm doing unless you have a 1919 bolt you can lend me.

It will come back in the same condition in which I receive it, with the possible exception of a few finger-prints and a wipe of oil before I send it back.

Anyone able to help a guy out?

Thanks,

NS

(Oh, it can ben either a Full or Semi bolt. I'm interested in the operating principles, ie round sliding down the face of the bolt, extraction, etc.)

I can see why you don't just buy one. I was going to suggest it, but then i saw marstar wants $150 for a stripped one, outrageous ! I guess that's just our supply for ya, they are like $35 stripped in the US, or about $90 complete :(.

Would tracking down a 3d model for like "google sketchup" suffice, or you need one in your hands to examine? I'm seen a few 3d 1919a4's, and m2hb's online, granted they may not be 100% to scale, they should still be able to show basic function?
