want to buy type 54 norinco?

Nork Tok

Get the true type 54 (without the add-on safety). Buy up some cheap surplus Czech 7.62x25 and enjoy the ka-bang factor - but do clean well, as the ammo is corrosive. As you're in Vancouver, are you buying from Lever? If so I think you get a 9mm barrel with it, which is useful. Don't expect much in the way of accuracy, the trigger is rough and the grip isn't ideal. But for the price it's a good shooter and simple to tear down.

Ive got a type 54 I like it. The trigger is heavy and the gun is not terribly accurate but it is very fun to shoot.

I wouldn't say they aren't accurate.....you were able to hit the chrony with your very first shot........;)

thanks for the help, i will probably buy the one from Lever because it does come with a 9mm barrel. i have been loading 9mm for CZ75 for some time now. is the norico ammo from Lever corrosive. and whats the difference in the prices listed on their website. thanks

I have one. It fits nice in my hand not too much of a recoil. The Norinco M77B is a disaster. I feel like it is going to hit me over the head everytime I fire it.

I am not sure it is accurate. I have been doing better with my 22. I may need some practice.

Mine is one year old now. I noticed some surface rust on it this week. May be I should be applying a thicker layer of oil.

the rust is due to a lack of exercise- if it's moving it can't rust- mine just says "feed me" and 'MORE" and being russian, i listen and do( i'm not russian, the gun is) maybe not a thicker layer of oil, but a better grade?- it shouldn't be rusting

Yours may be Russian but mine is Norinco made it is chinese, but you may be right I am not giving it much of an excercise. I can not find the 7.62x25mm ammo easily. Where are you getting your lead from:)

Where To Get Tokarev Ammo

Marstar has tons of Czech 7.62x25 (corrosive). Lever Arms has Norinco in the same calibre, non-corrosive but more expensive, I think.

i'm using the 9mm bbl- it's a straight drop in- haven't shot the 7/62 yet- and mine's chinese too- the only reason i said russian is that russians demand things- chinese don't-or at least don't appear to- i use 130 grain 9mm leads over 5 grains of 231- same load as i use in the beretta

I just made a quick comparaison. Using 762x25 is cheaper than 9mm. It is just the upfront cost is higher. Marstar is about 1/2 price.

I think I know why I may have found some surface rust. I used Marstar Ammo the last time I took out my TT and may have forgot to clean it afterwords
