Wanted: Evapo-Rust Feedback

I've used it on a badly rusted Savage No. 4. It was truly amazing. ALL of the rust was gone.

I've also tested it on various other items, such at badly rusted exhaust clamps. they came out looking new.

i'd highly reccomend it.

However, it doesn't last, so get together a few projects to do all at once.

I have one jug left, if you're anywhere near edmonton, I'd be glad to get in on ordring some more, and spilt shipping.

maltextract......

thanks for posting on this stuff. Never heard of it before. Will see if my local H.H. can get it in.

Thanks again,
Leroy

Evapo Rust works like a charm. I used it extensivley during a project to a restore a bubba'd No. 5 Jungle Carbine back to its original military configuration. You can soak parts overnight with no damage to the metal, reuse the stuff until it turns black, and then flush it down the drain (its non-toxic). Its a great gunsmithing product. Crappy Tire was out of stock, so I picked some up at Lee Valley Tools in Ottawa.

I was amazed how well it works. Heavily rusted parts can take a couple DAYS of soaking. Remove whatever rust you can with sandpaper or wire brush and it will work quicker, and last longer.

I got mine from CTC and noticed on the bottle that it is now MADE IN CANADA. Home Hardware also carries it and they also sel or can get it in 4 litre jugs. Their website is not up yet but the do have a phone number (in Toronto). I am going to try and get some in bulk from the manufacturer.
