wanting a 1911 colt.....I think

That was a very interesting article, with some good info. It shares my sentiments on the Norcs, I may pick up another, and do some mods to it, and polish the rough edges.

If your ever in Edmonton, PM me, I'll be more happy to let you try anything you want. Mark has the same offer too, but I'm not sure he ever gets this far West. :)

Appreciated :)

I'll make the same offer to our new 1911 friend, bb512, if he ever makes it to the far eastern part of western Canada (Wpg) lol

I enjoy bringing new acolytes to the Temple of Boom.

I've a friend who is also pondering a 45 now, and if he gets one he wants the real deal, and if he's spending the money for a Colt, he wants to make sure it's a good gun.

So the other day I brought my Gold Cup, my National Match, and for shiggles a Sig 220 elite match (also a very fine accurate 45)

He's loving the (new) series 70 National Match as a result of our informal pistol trial :)

Only 60 1911s, he's just a beginner. Laugh2

Lol, you don't remember? I got that STI commander from you.

I'll be in the Peg in April for a SCI dinner for my brother, there is something in the auction he wants.

Maybe i should bring some toys with me.

Oh I remember - you can't fool me with a new avatar ;)

Just figured I was closer to Barrie than you are. Good waypoint on a pilgrimage to Edmonton too, if he likes lol

I've done the opposite and whittled myself down to the essentials - Series 70 government and a Commander in addition to the two previously mentioned target models. I only have the Gold Cup because I couldn't resist it when JP listed it. I'm glad that he sells infrequently!

I've also one of the 1911-2011 ones that I'm probably not going to fire. There's no real reason to.

I just love a nicely blued pistol with the classic style elements. Novak sights, rails, and forward serrations are elements that don't get me excited, save rarely - they spoil the lines.

You don't have any obligation to bring any offering for the temple - just give me a buzz. I have some variety. :)

Just dying to try out my Colt Competition in 9mm. I like the fact yiu have a higher grip now, hope they do that on more 1911s

Thought a new avatar was needed, the other one was getting boring
