Of note it was me who was looking for parts for the mp-153. The reason that I was looking for parts was because I have so many rounds through my shotgun. I shot skeet and lots of it along with waterfowl and lots of it. My round count is estimated well over 10000 rounds. The only parts I need are a new main spring and hammer spring. Both still work but it is having issues with the 3.5 shells. It will still run the 23/4 and 3 with no issue. I have had the gun for about 7 years.

They are a good gun for the price and with a little adjustment you can have it set to cycle any shell. It didnt take me long to do the same.

When I started looking for parts it was difficult but the gent above said that he can get them in so order placed and I am just waiting for them to arrive. ( it's only been a couple days).

I decided it was time to upgrade and get something new so I got an a-400. Again as others have said the beretta are crazy nice guns. You can never go wrong with a beretta. You can see my review of the a-400 in another thread asking about it.

make sure you check out local gun shows as well. If you aren't a complete @sshole, most guys will be more than willing to disassemble something so you can inspect it.
Keep a smart phone handy or a friend that you know will be home and near a computer so you can do research on whatever you might find.

I picked up a beautiful s&w 1000 for $300, it's got maybe 2 safe dings, everything functions perfect from heavy 3 inch to light 2 3/4.

A gently used Rem. 1100 should be easy to find. 2-3/4" chamber and a fixed choke are seen as liabilities in a hunting gun, but hardly so in a target gun. Get the choke opened to IC or Mod, and you'll have a sweet, reliable target gun.

I have shot Beretta's for best part of 30 years. Never, and I mean never have I had a problem with my guns. I used a 303 in the UK for 22 years and a 390 here in Ontario for 7 years. I am just about to sell my 390 as I want a 391 Urika 2 Classic. Should get it this week I hope. If you are interested in my excellent condition 390 let me know.
