Wanting to get into longer range shooting...

You should phone Rob, I belive you can buy ammo there, but Iay be wrong.
Personally speaking I would never consider shooting any long range rifles ( match or otherwise) with factory ammo, for optimum accuracy the load should be matched to the rifle.
However, Furlong's course requires that you have a rifle capable of 1 MOA which is not hard to do with a lot of factory ammo .

yeah my gun is fine with the hornaby eld match ammo, shoots 0.5-0.75 MOA pretty consistently. I did speak to Rob beforehand and he is all out of 6.5 CM

I shot a 6.5 creed for the 1st time about a month ago. I was a friends that he purchased with new optics, and was having a hard time to set the scope up. So I jumped behind it and started putting 3 shots into touching groups at 200 yrds.

He then jumped back behind it, and we had it shooting out to 900 plus yards in minutes by going off the cuff using strelok pro on the phone app and factory ammo offerings. Needless to say, I now want to build a 6.5 creed bench rifle. It was that much fun; for me anyhow.

There are several used options that always come up in the exchange side of things here, or other sites. I would consider a used, custom build that someone already put the effort and money into and is just looking to move on. Usually the best buys. Even if you don't completely like the stock, it is easy to sell and upgrade to a different one. The stock is about the easiest to sell on a custom rifle.

Get the best glass you can afford, plus some; for the distance game. You will appreciate it when you sit behind it.

When the time comes, I will be looking for a good action, and using preferably an IBI barrel, and checking all the used places for such before thinking new. Then looking at what Go Big has on sale, as he sometimes has some great buys. I have already sourced a great buy on brass, so I snatched that up. Now just to get the rest of the build in the works.

I have the benefit of already reloading, so I will have my eye on bullets as I come across things, and start building my powder and primer stock.
