Wanting to gopher hunt

Hey you western CGN'rs:
I am traveling out west this summer in July and would love to go out gopher hunting with one of you experts(LOL) Would be willing to pay a bit or make a trade in hunting or fishing or shooting stuff. Just looking to go out for a day or two.
I live in Ontario and voted conservative in the last election!

As far as popping some gophers.
Just go into any hutterite colony and tell them what you're doing. they'll gladly let you blow up some gophers.

OK,I'll admit 3 elections ago I voted NDP,but did'nt own guns,then I saw the light. Before that I voted the Green Party but that was when I was in college and I thought they stood for something else , funny I don't remember much those 2 years!!

First of all, you will need to remember to stop saying "gopher hunting'". It is "gopher shooting" or "shooting gophers". There is no need to soften up the reality of blowing those cute little animals into pieces out here. Most farmers in the problem areas are able to face the gruesome facts, as are those of us who volunteer to help. We still have our evil guns and can still go out "shooting gophers" without some politician squawking about bans - so far. PM me as to what area of the "west" you will be in and when. I live near Regina and might be able to help out.

y'know kjohn, it could be hunting...depending. reading a book about someone who ate them when he was younger...might even still, but heck...it even includes a couple recipe's for em! LOL!

Mr. Friendly: Yeah, I suppose it could be like "combining" as opposed to "harvesting". In some areas, my own included, if you said you were "harvesting", you would get some odd looks and be likely considered a city slicker. Other areas, well.... "harvesting" seems to be the term. "Hunting gophers" just doesn't sound right.....
