Wanting to upgrade powder measure and scale, need advice

Hey guys. Bit of background here, I have been shooting and reloading a few calibers for about a year now, 30-06, 280Rem, 303Br, and 223 (for long range target). I have been using the Lee 50th kit and really like the press and trimming tools etc, but I really dislike the powder measure and scale.

Now that I am shooting 223 and trying to get the best uniformity out of my loads this scale is driving me nuts. I'll spend an hour on case prep and four or five on charging to get them to where I am confident that they will shoot close to the same.

I want a powder measure that will get me closer more consistantly. Was also thinking some kind of trickler would be nice to speed up getting things bang on. What kind of scale would you guys suggest I look for? Not sure weather beam or digital would be my best bet, but if the other beams are like this thing....

I used a Lyman DPS automatic powder dispenser and just bought a Hornady automatic powder dispenser. Very accurate and quick. You can't go wrong with either. But I like the Hornady better.

What was the Hornady worth? Does it work well with cylinder type powder like H4895?

You won't be disappointed with the Hornady or a chargemaster, mine really changed my reloading, way quicker and very accurate!

I picked it up in the U.S. For $200. I use Varget, H4350, and AR-COMP and it works great.

The smaller the volume in the case, the pickier you should be about your charge load. If you are looking for match accuracy, then nothing will beat tricking, but the RCBS chargemaster combo is accurate to less than a tenth of a grain and is fast. 6mmbr did a review on the variou systems at the time and it was hands down the best.

Has anyone had a bad experience with it? I'm pretty well convinced to buy one. Where's the best place to buy one right now? I saw Cabela's has them on for $279 and a $50 rebate with free shipping but I assume that'll be for US customers only?

The RCBS rebate is good for Canada too, you have to buy $300 worth of RCBS products and send in original receipts. I might just pick up a Chargemaster now from Natchez but can't think of another RCBS tool I want right now to put it over 300.

For 223rem and competition loads I use the Gempro250. All else Chargemaster combo.

The GemPro250 looks like it is more of what I am looking for. My biggest concern is with chasing accuracy in my 223 model 12 FCV. With my milsurps close enough is good enough. I bought a redding trickler today so I'll try that, I'm liking that jeweler's scale though. With the extra $100 I can pick up an RCBS neck turner too and things should be good. With my trickler I shouldn't need a different powder measure either. The Chargemaster combo would be nice for my milsurps but that can come later, coyote season is here!
