Hi guys, I didn't post this in EE cause I'm looking for a donation.. :)

A teacher in Barrie contacted me for some rifle cartridge key chains that he wanted to give away to some of his students who were doing a remembrance day project as a little thank you. He asked if I had any brass with war dates on them, but no.

He's got 6 kids in the project, does anyone have anything they want to donate? [.303, 8mm, .30-06 etc?]

Here is the link to the news story:

WWI would be nice, but probably not possible...

thanks guys!

Be happy to donate some .303 42 - 43 dated brass to the cause.

If you'd like I can send the pulled bullets along with them, minus powder and primers of course.

pm me an address.

Thanks for all the offers guys, IronCanadian is sending enough .303 so each kid can get one :)

He just sent me some links tonight about the project - the first two are this years project, the others are from past projects.

All rolled up and ready to go out!

"That's great Shawn. This will be a great surprise for the students. They are terrific kids and it is important to see their dedication to soldiers who gave their lives for them being validated. Having their work appreciated by you who they have never met really emphasized the importance of the freedom they enjoy paid for by generations they have never met.
Thanks,
Clint"

Got Some feedback from the kids last night:

Hello Shawn:
I received and distributed the keychains today. They caused quite a sensation. The kids were shocked frankly- by the superbly made and marked bullet and by the fact that you did this out of gratitude for their honoring our fallen soldiers. They were a bit stunned that they were actually being given authentic WW2 dated Canadian brass. One of the girl's mom had actually contacted me trying to get a fake bullet keychain for their daughter for Christmas. Mom will be astonished this evening! These students will carry these pieces of Canadian history with them every day.
Thanks so much Shawn and Iron Canadian,
Lest We Forget,
Clint

Hi this is Cole ****, one of the students from eastview secondary school. I would just like to thank you guys so very much for the gifts you sent us. We are very appreciative of them. They are some of the coolest things I have seen. And a very neat idea to turn them into key chains. Anyway thank you very much and hope to maybe buy some off of you soon for Christmas.

Thanks again,
Cole ****

Great job, its little things like these that can make a big difference to people, it gives them a physical connection to the past. It's one thing reading about it in a book another thing all together to know this is something they used, at that point in time. They look fantastic as well.
