this will be my first year for bow hunting and seeing as its earlier in the year the weather is usually warm. I was wondering what you do if you get an animal say at the end of the day and you cant get your game into a butcher shop cooler til the next day. I was just thinking you would clean it and skin it pack it with ice and wrap with cheese cloth. Is that right? what do you do?

great if you have ice.
early season deer we try to get them out and butchered the same day.
If not we hang them and try to block open the body cavity so it can air out and 'cool' over night, hang in the shade or down in the Black Spruce where it tends to be a little cooler.
