Anyone else find that the hunting clothes you have are getting too warm. I have insl. bibs, insl. jacket, gloves and 600gr. boots. Use to be comfortable, maybe two or so years ago, now was out for bear (I spot and stalk or still hunt), in a tee shirt , cotton pants and my heavy duty vest from Cabelas was too warm. Heck I always wore an insulated cap bear hunting (yes even in Aug) but just a normal cap was making me sweat. Going to have to get a new wardrobe!

Last year on stand for bear in september I was wearing only my boxers and my orange vest and ball cap. Bout a bottle of muskol as well. Thankgod no bear saw me on stand I'd be charged with cruelty to animals lmao. It was in the 90s during the day last year 2nd week of september

Dude....its August. Wearing clothing aimed at Autumn is as big a mistake as wearing too little clothing in winter.

2005 was the hottest summer I remember in Central ON (im 27). Two years ago i dont recall being much different then this year.

We moose hunt in 16C that is a couple hundred miles north of Thunder Bay. Last year it was very warm in the 80's and 90's. I sat in my blind most days in my birthday suit as our clothing was far to warm. By the time you got to your stand you were soaked in sweat.

I sure hope we don't get the same warm weather this year, as it makes for a very unpleasant hunt, and the moose do not move around much.
