With everyone buying handguns like hotcakes since the announcement I am sure there are some people in my boat that have had issues with what they have bought. Normally this isn't an issue but per a call with Browning they are not able to get parts in from the US. Has anyone spoken to anyone else with these issues, or are we just supposed to pay out of our pocket to local gunsmiths and hope they have parts to fix what breaks but when that runs out we are out of luck with expensive paper weights.

Sadly, warranty service for most firearms in Canada is, and always has been, a bit of a joke. Generally not by fault of the retailers or the warranty centers themselves (except Grech, Grech sucks), but because international companies, and especially American companies, can't be bothered to deal with exporting parts for a pitifully small market like us.

The new ban will only exacerbate these issues.

Ya I got that vibe, talked to very nice people and once I mentioned Canada the tone changed....these were some pretty expensive firearms so I am hopeful they will figure it out for me!
