Now i dunno if its just me but after shooting a whole box of clays with my warrior the shoulder hurts so ive been looking into getting a sissy pad but theres nothing i can find thats a direct fit so i was at cabelas today gonna grab a slip on and its brown :( im ocd with details the stock set i have on the warrior is synthetic the back plate is held in the stock with the swing swivel. So the black on brown had me torn. Anyone got Any ideas wpuld be great.

If you have a sore shoulder after only a case of clay targets with target loads, then either the gun doesn't fit you, or you are holding it wrong.

No im pretty sure its not that cuase my 870 i can shoot all day let me be clear im 150 pounds and 6 feet tall so therez not much therez on my body for any absorbstion. Plus ive had shoulder problems since I was 15...

if you can shoot your 870 all day but a case of target loads is to much from this gun it does not fit you plane and simple what ells can it be ,,,,Dutch

I do find the butt of the warriors is like a hockey puck and would love to find something that would fit it. You might be able to get a grind to fit pad, cut the stock pad off flush to the end of the buttstock and screw the grind to fit pad onto the base that you have left from the original pad.

I have to agree with Dutch....
A gas powered semi should kick much less than a 870. If it is not then you don't fit it.

This is a pretty light gun, isn't it? The 870 likely weighs 7.5 pounds, your gun maybe 6.5? That's a big factor right there. Adding a pound of weight will be awkward. So, either get a jacket/vest with a shoulder cushion, or keep looking for a wide, soft recoil pad.

Instead of getting the slip on pad or something like that, you could try one of the PAST pads or something similar, then you don't have to worry about the colour of the buttpad.

I've found the synthetic stock to be quite a bit more cushioned than the wood stocks. I've never had a huge issue with recoil at 6'5", 230lbs - but my girlfriend does get beaten up by it. I went out and bought a medium sized slip on from WSS and it made a world of difference. Not only did it add 1" to the LoP for my long arms, but it doesn't have a horrible contrast to the wood. I would have never bought one for myself, but I'm glad I did. It's like shooting a .410 all day long.

I have the warrior with BOTH stocks. The wood has a better pad on it. And you would be able to get a grind to fit one as well for the wood. The synthetic stock is held on by the swivel screw, odd system but means you can't replace it (that I'm aware of). I would suggest a shooting vest with a pad on it for clay sports. At least you get the added pockets for the shells that way.

That really depends on which wood stock you get.. you see, I have all three sets available from Corwin Arms. The thinnest "hockey puck" version is what came on my chrome model, and can easily be bettered by a slip on, with the option of a grind to fit. The poly stock seems to use a low to medium density pad that can be bettered with use of a slip on. Simply take an internal measurement of your slip on, and a measurement from the butt to swivel to find where you need to cut a hole. As it seems to use a wide thread common with wood screws, you should be able to pierce the slip on for a tighter installation if you'd prefer. The last option came on my girlfriend's black Warrior, which seems to have substantially better padding than my chrome version, and a slightly higher density than that of the poly. Both a slip on or grind to fit can be used to better it.

I went with a pachmayr decelerator pad maybe this will increase the lop now that i think about it i added spacers on the 870 hope this does the trick. I geuss posting late at night when i cant think clearly is probably bad.
