Another suggestion;

Since you are already adding in a custom magwell;

You should probably make it compatible with XCR Pistol magazines.

For that you have to modify the receiver. To do it on a commercial scale would require a milling machine and a machinist.

Now your SKS is $1000...so...yeah...

Just tied to stuff a few x39 in my Gen1 mags ... 5 rounds and don't stack well - nose down because of the tapper - and start to bind. Popping them out a few times and they seem to get hung up. Don't see this actually working, but don't have a rifle to try'em.

I looked into this not too long ago in May and got a response from Tony. There were issues with the Mag manufacture that seem like they're being sorted with an alternate manufacture. I asked about materials and weight, and since they're not produced yet, I was told 10 to 12 pounds

And aircraft grade aluminium stanza aka. 6000's series (in most cases) is a guess as they were told 'aircraft grade aluminium' too.

I really like the looks and the idea of this SKAR ... but the weight makes my medium profiled barrel older XCR look super LIGHT.

I still look forward to seeing how project this turns out. They're open to questions, e-mail them. =)

Ouch that turns your sks into a bench gun. Screw that weight and function is more important than coolness factor. I can swap to ar mags for 200 bux if that is the only draw.
