I was out last Sunday with The PGW LRT-3 shooting at 1000 yards at Borden's Mons range this was with the ORA had a great time:) I do not usually shoot in the prone posistion as I have some medical issues that make it extremely difficult but still had some promising results. I was using Johnny Boy's recipe and was able to hit the X ring at 1000 yards not sure how big that ring is if anybody cares to comment? I did hit it two in a row with the third just outside the X ring but did not have a spotter to score. Initially I was shooting low:redface: twice!! the guys in the bunker were not happy about that the RSO let me know right away! Big thanks to everyone who helped me out dialing the .50 in:D Johnny Boy has a good recipe for sure
the Amax's shoot very well with VV 20n-29n the bullets seated to magazine depth 5.430" - 5.457" I went with 5.430". One guy on his first shot with the rifle was very impressed with the accuracy he may see this post and chime in! Especially since I have some nice once fired IVI for him:D

Hi DG, well done.

There are a couple of different Long Range targets that you might have fired on.

For TR shooting ("Target Rifle", which is prone iron sights w/sling) there are two targets you are likely to have used:
1 - the DCRA Long Range target, which has a 24" 5-ring and a 12" V-bull
2 - the ICFRA Long Range target, which has a 20" 5-ring and a 10" V-bull (this target is almost identical to the US-NRA Long Range Target, except that the US target is scored 10-X rather than 5-V)

There are also F-Class versions of these targets, in which the TR V-bull is used as the F-Class 5-ring, and an additional half-sized V-bull is added to the target:
1 - in this case the DCRA F-Class Long Range target has a 12" 5-ring and a 6" V-bull
2 - the ICFRA F-Class Long Range target has a 10" 5-ring and a 5" V-bull

Hitting Vs or Xs at 1000 yards is always a good thing!

I was right beside him all day shooting at an ICFRA Fclass target with my .223, and enjoying the concussion from his muzzle brake!

Haha yeah man lets see pics of this or were gonna assume it didn't happen :D

Too much gear to haul around I hand my hands full with the rifle gear:eek: If I had camera gear it would eat into shooting time and that just cannot happen I need all the practice I can get! My diabetes makes my hands go numb so it is real hard to feel the trigger properly:mad::mad:

understood, i know youre real dont worry ;)

i know how much stuff you brought out when i met you i can imagine how much more there was with the canon. lol. you gonna be out this sunday? i may end up at the range again around 10, came across a deal on a scope, not a great scope but better than what i had so im gonna go get her setup and blast off some more rounds :D

I will shot with you on Sunday morning if you want, let's take the timberwolfs out, I can bring some 2" mild steel and titanium to punch some hole in with the 50.

I recessed my .338 rounds down to 3.610" so I want to see the MV difference.

let me know!
