Last night my lawn was just jumping with rabbits. You could see them eating the grass and clover where the snow had melted; you could hear them running through the hedgeway.
I was able to freeze a couple with a light. Can't shoot 'em tho.
Confounded night hunting laws. Back in the UK I'd have had 3-4 for sure; maybe half a dozen.
So at first light they cavort in the long grass < 30 metres from the road. In theory I could stand 120 meters back and shoot them (it's 150 m from a road bylaws here), aiming towards the road, but can I take the safe shot shooting from by the road into my land; no! So they're safe.
It's really like they are gaming the hunting laws just to annoy me.
Do I see any in the, legal to shoot, woods? Oh no - all too busy getting fat on the lawn.
