The Washington State Championship goes August 16 at the Renton Gun Club just outside Seatle. This is an outstanding event, well run with around 100 shooters participating. For those living in Western Canada in particular I highly recomend this tournament. Registration fills up early so if you intend to make the trip register early.

The tournament is featured in this quarters Tactical Journal.

And for those living in northern BC, Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air now flies from Prince George direct to Seattle. The flight that I looked up was priced at just under $300 US Return.

Well I arrived this morning. Nohting like being early. Tomorrow I will help Rick Breneman. the MD start setting up stages, chasing down last minute items and if time permits shoot the last leg of my quest for Five Gun designation at the Marksman level. Not real handy with reloading a revolver, Dave B. add nothing to that statement please, so I doubt I will ever get beyong Marksman level. Rick is going to let me use his .45acp revolver so with any luck I will end my quest tomorrow.

Weather for the Friday when the SO's shoot is going to be hot as is Saturday so should be a ton of fun. Five 1911's on the prize table for the shooters on Saturday along with one set aside for a draw for the 20 odd SO's who work the shoot.

Will post pictures when I get back. Will hit the candy store of guns on the way home. Half asleep this morning and missed the turn-off. sorry guys...

Steve ,
I don't think you have ever shot with Bob......He's like a three year old at an Easter Egg hunt.:D:D........our range always has less brass on it after a shoot than before it. And I can guarantee Bob still has all of the brass he started reloading from years ago......as a matter of fact I would put money on it that he has not bought any brass for the last 4 years........which now that I think about it is the reason I have bought more and still have less than when I started shooting with him:D:D:D:D
Just Kiddin' Bob:)

As Jack Benny used to say, " Now cut that out". You know very well that .45acp brass has a reloading life of at least 23 times. Nice of you guys to leave behind so much brass for the "sweeper".

This is one of the best events around and is relatively easy to get to for those of us in Western Canada. Great bunch of guys and very interesting stages, always.

If you can put it on your schedule for next year, you won't be disappointed.

ps Hit the border and the US Customs guy didn't even look at my Form 6 when I handed it to him along with my passport. Just a cursory glance at my passport and I was on my way with a "have a nice day and good luck at the shoot".

Pffft! .50 seconds?!?!?!?!? Wait until you get home! You know you're not going to hear the end of this! I should borrow Dave's Webley and go for my 5 Gun SS! That'd learn ya!

Good luck at the match! And don't forget to go to Walmart and buy a rivet gun.....

Very buys yesterday making targets for all 13 stages. Some really neat ones. Will take pictures. Local candy store is closed on Sunday, the only day I will have time to shop so no need to go to Wal Mart.
