Water filtration on a whole new level!!

Jenn's been swamped with emails and orders for the Team Canada hat.

If you sent between Friday evening and this morning, she's still working on it :D

She should get back to you shortly on that.

Fortis - we take this complaint very seriously. Thousands of people have used GRAYL, all over the world, and you are the first one to report sickness using the device.

I will contact you privately to retrieve the product at our cost. I need to study the device to determine whether this is 1. post-purchase damage 2. user error (no offense, but it can happen) or 3. manufacturing problem.

We will refund or replace, at your preference.

Very sorry for your experience with GRAYL.

Me and my buddy were out stopped at a stream and we used his Grayl. Nearly pooped my brains out that night. He was the same thing. Tried it again, same spot just to see if it was it 3 weeks later, same result.

I would like to see the base cup be set up that I could boil water in it if a future gen

I really like mine and use it a lot

You can boil water, Jaime. You just need to remove the bottom rubber piece. That won't affect the water holding capacity, and the stainless steel can be placed directly on an open flame.

Of course, you lose your non-slip rubber bottom. But if that's a trade-off you're willing to make, you'll have a multi-purpose device.

Safe adventures!

sweet!!!

This system is only good if you can constantly be near a fresh water source. For this I will have to pass. I will stick to my pump and bladders.

This does not sound good! what say you Mr Grayl ?

Already addressed.

This system is only good if you can constantly be near a fresh water source. For this I will have to pass. I will stick to my pump and bladders.

I've used it with water from puddles, melted snow in my truck bed, water from the eves trough etc. Basically any water.

Pump and bladder take up more room, still require water and you now have to carry 2-3L on you. It's a trade off on what an individuals personal preferences are.

With everything there are skeptics. I've been using mine for over six months and I have no complaints. Grayl takes all complaints seriously and have stepped up when I had an issue.
Great service from One Shot Tactical and great communications from Grayl.

Keep up the good work.

We take Fortis' concern very seriously. After thousands of cups sold and thousands of happy customers, this is the first account of a waterborne sickness.

GRAYL tests every filter during production and sends samples from each shipment of finished filters to an independent lab. We have yet to see a single failed filter in these tests. It is, of course, possible that fortis got the first failed filter.

It's also possible that Fortis ingested an impurity through food or lack of hand washing. Unfortunately, we can't find out because Fortis threw away the filter in question.

We have communicated directly with Fortis, and made it right.
